El técnico alemán prioriza la prudencia con el centrocampista canario y confía en recuperarlo a tiempo para el derbi y la Supercopa
Hansi Flick confirmó este sábado una baja sensible para el FC Barcelona en el duelo ante el Villarreal. Pedri González no estará disponible para el partido en La Cerámica, tal y como admitió el técnico alemán en la rueda de prensa previa al encuentro. El centrocampista canario arrastra molestias musculares y el cuerpo técnico ha decidido no asumir riesgos innecesarios.
“No estará. No estoy contento con esto. Está lesionado”, explicó Flick de forma contundente.
El entrenador azulgrana detalló que Pedri sufre problemas en los isquiotibiales y que, aunque podría forzar para jugar, el riesgo de una lesión mayor es demasiado elevado en este momento de la temporada. Flick dejó claro que la prioridad es proteger al futbolista y pensar en los compromisos venideros.
“Creo que estará listo para el Espanyol. El riesgo ahora es muy alto. Lo tenemos que cuidar, que haga tratamiento y no podemos tomar riesgos”, insistió el técnico.
El plan con Pedri
El plan del cuerpo técnico pasa por que Pedri pueda reaparecer en el derbi ante el Espanyol, previsto para el próximo 3 de enero, así como llegar en plenas condiciones a la Supercopa de España. Flick considera al canario una pieza clave en su esquema y no quiere repetir errores del pasado con recaídas que puedan comprometer su continuidad durante el curso.
Ante su ausencia, el Barça deberá reconfigurar el centro del campo para un partido exigente en un escenario históricamente complicado como La Cerámica. Pese a ello, el entrenador alemán se mostró tranquilo y confiado en la profundidad de la plantilla.
“Tenemos mucha calidad en el equipo. Tenemos que adaptarnos”, señaló.
La baja de Pedri se suma a una gestión de minutos por parte de Flick, que ha instaurado una política clara de riesgo cero con los jugadores tocados.
